Voter Empowerment

Loder will promote the free flow of information and regular communication with voters about their voting location, the dates of upcoming elections, and access to sample ballots. He will also support a voter registration system that is simple, easy, and automatic to encourage more participation in elections.

User Friendly Court

Loder envisions a court that removes feelings of intimidation that citizens naturally feel when they encounter rigid, structured, and bureaucratic courts. To achieve this, he seeks to limit the amount of times community members must wait in lines or at court hearings, engage staff in service and etiquette trainings, and increase options for citizens to interact with the court digitally.  

Mental Health Reform

One of the core responsibilities of Probate Court includes mental health commitment proceedings. Simply put, Jefferson County and the State of Alabama must direct more resources to building first class mental health institutions with a sufficient number of beds to properly and more effectively treat and not criminalize mental health disorders.
